These may differ slightly, as each school is allocated five staff development (INSET) days per year, which can be scheduled independently.

Our phone & device policy

We are using mobile phone pouches making our school phone free.

The use of lockable pouches is becoming increasingly common in schools. This has allowed for studies to take place on their impact. From a survey of 900 schools, this approach has been found to significantly enhance academic performance, student behaviour, student engagement and well-being. These will not only benefit our students whilst in school, but also help them develop good habits for phone use as they become adults.

Students who arrive on the school site by bus are not permitted to leave the site during the school day.

For safety reasons, parents who bring their children to school by car are requested not to use the Hardings Lane approach to the school.

  • Hardings Lane needs to be kept clear to allow the safe and prompt movement of coaches.
  • Parents are kindly asked to drop off and pick up at the School Lane entrance.
  • Parents should not drive onto the school site at drop-off and pick-up times, due to the high number of pedestrians and vehicles using the school drive at these times.
