How to apply to our Sixth Form

Sixth Form application is open for both existing Gillingham School students and prospective applicants who wish to join from other schools.

For existing students:

Most of our Gillingham School applicants will apply through our internal processes during Year 11, which provides access to the full range of subject choices. If you have missed the deadlines, please contact Mrs C Dacombe and an internal application form will be sent.

For students joining us from another school, please apply as soon as possible.

Timeline:

  • Upon receipt of your application, we will consider your predicted grades and request a reference from your current school.  We will then contact you to discuss your application and, if appropriate, send you an offer letter.
  • You will then be invited to join our Sixth Form Mixer events, which take place in the spring and summer terms, giving you an opportunity to meet other new students and the Sixth Form Team.
  • Later in the year, you will also be invited to our Induction Day to help you feel confident and ready to join us in the Autumn.
