Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Gillingham School in North Dorset, set in the heart of the beautiful Blackmore Vale. Founded by benefactors in 1516, Gillingham School is proud and privileged to offer a quality and enjoyable educational experience that is open to all young people from the town of Gillingham, its surrounding villages and indeed, to young people further afield in Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset.

Welcome from the Head Boy & Head Girl

Welcome to Gillingham School! We both arrived here as year seven students, nervous at the prospect of starting at such a different school to our primary schools. Oh how the times have changed. As these years have seemingly flown by Gillingham School has helped us develop into the best we can possibly be, not only growing academically, but also helping us prepare for the future wherever that may lead. Over our time here we’ve made new friends, experienced great adventures and been given the opportunity to discover who we want to be.
