Gillingham School is proud to be a licensed centre for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE)—a prestigious and nationally recognised programme that helps young people develop essential life skills, confidence, and resilience. It is respected by colleges, universities, and employers for the wide range of attributes it develops in young people.

We offer the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels of the award, starting from Year 9, and are delighted that so many of our students take part in this enriching experience.
