Green spaces are beneficial restorative environments, and can enhance overall wellbeing. Gillingham School recognises that outdoor education and being in nature is crucial to boost mental and physical health, which in turn will improve academic engagement, social skills and confidence when entering the working world.
We offer diverse trips, including international volunteering, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, UK residential trips (PGL, coastal orienteering), and a Sixth Form surf trip to Europe amongst others. There are two Biannual excursions the Music Tour which varies to European City’s and a ski trip for years 8 and 9.
All aiming to enrich learning, build independence, and provide cultural experiences beyond the classroom.
