We are looking for a Teacher of Business Studies to join our friendly team at Gillingham School, Dorset.
11-19 Mixed Comprehensive; 1,690 on roll including 300 in the Sixth Form

Required from September 2026, an enthusiastic, well-qualified Business Studies teacher. The ability to offer one of the following supplementary subjects is desirable: KS3 Maths, A Level Economics or A Level Law. You will be joining a highly successful team in a vibrant and supportive school. Business Studies is taught from Years 9-11 at Gillingham School and we typically have 160 students opt for the subject each Year for GCSE. At A Level we offer both the A Level and the BTEC courses, with both being popular choices. Typically, there are three Level 3 classes in both Year 12 and Year 13. Economics and Law sit within the wider Business Faculty. The post is suited to either a newly qualified teacher or for a teacher with experience looking for a fresh challenge.
An excellent induction programme exists for ECTs and all colleagues who join our school are entitled to rich professional learning and ongoing professional development. Gillingham is surrounded by lovely towns like Shaftesbury and Sherborne as well as being one hour away from Bath, Bristol and the coast. In two hours, you can also get to London.
