Key Stage 3

In Year 7 and 8 students follow the compulsory National Curriculum subjects, which include: Art, Computer Science, Design Technology, Drama, English, Food and Nutrition, French, Geography, Spanish, History, Mathematics, Music/Music Tech, PE, PSHE, Science.

This broad curriculum ensures a strong foundation across academic, creative, and personal development areas.

Options Year 8 into 9

A transition year between Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with the aim to offer an element of choice whilst maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum. This process supports students to make informed decisions for their GCSEs in Year 10.

  • Students will study five option subjects alongside the core of English, Math, Science, PSRE and PE.

They will have an array of existing and new subjects to choose from.

Key Stage 4

From Year 10 all students will continue to study the compulsory core subjects. They will also select from a wide range of subjects encompassing the Arts, Design and Technology, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, and a wide range of other subject choices which are detailed below.

Students and parents will be fully supported in the decision-making process through a range of information, advice and guidance. Final GCSE grades will be awarded in the summer of Year 11, on a scale from 9-1.
