Once enrolled, your first day at Gillingham School will begin with a warm welcome and an introduction to the school environment. You’ll have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the layout of the site and meet key members of staff. We’re here to support you every step of the way as you settle into school life and begin your learning journey.

School Homework Diary & Planner
In Year 7 or when joining our school students will be issued with a physical homework diary and planner, this supports students with communication and recording:
- Important information about activities and events
- Homework set by teachers and due dates
- Notes and personal reminders
Parents or carers should:
- Monitor for positive or notes of concern written by teachers, we request that parents initial to acknowledge the message has been read.
- Sign and review once a week, preferably at the end of week or weekend.
Tutors will monitor it weekly, and countersign.
