Our pastoral system is structured around Year Groups, from Year 7 through to Year 13, ensuring age-appropriate support throughout a student’s school journey.

  • We encourage and expect a mutually respectful culture for all, to maximise attendance and success for all our students, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • We place great importance on the wellbeing and personal development of every student.

Pastoral Team Structure

Each student is placed in a tutor group, with their form tutor serving as the first point of contact for any matters related; welfare, progress, or day-to-day school life. Staff members work together to support students’ overall well-being. Collaborating to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs, ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment.

  • Each Year Group is led by a Head of Year
  • Supported by two Assistant Heads of Year
  • Alongside a dedicated Pastoral Manager

The pastoral system plays a key role in supporting the delivery of specific elements of the tutor programme for each Year Group, particularly in areas such as careers education and student wellbeing. With the PSRE curriculum being the primary subject area through which key topics are taught, such as:

  • SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) and
  • SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development)

This ensures that students receive a structured and comprehensive approach to personal development, tailored to their age and stage.
