Admissions Sixth Form

Most Gillingham School applicants will have applied through our internal processes during Year 11, which provides access to the full range of subject choices.

Timeline:

• Friday 23rd January – Deadline for your first choice of subjects
• Week before February half term – Year 11 students will be scheduled an interview with a member of the Sixth Form Team. At this stage, students can discuss their plans and change option choices.
• Before the Year 11 exams in May – A letter will be sent confirming whether you have a provisional place in Sixth Form.

Timeline:

• Once we receive your application, our Admissions Officer will contact you and guide you through each stage of the process.
• If your predicted grades meet our entry requirements, you will receive an offer letter. We will also request a reference from your current school.
• You’ll then be invited to attend one of our Sixth Form Mixer events, where you’ll have the chance to meet other new students and the Sixth Form Team.
• Later in the year, you will be invited to our Induction Day to help you feel confident and ready to join us in the Autumn Term.
• Additionally, we will arrange an informal meeting, either online or in person, with a member of the team.
