Welcome to the website of Gillingham School in North Dorset, in the heart of the beautiful Blackmore Vale. Founded by benefactors in 1516, we are proud of the school’s long history, and privileged to offer a quality and enjoyable educational experience open to all young people from the town of Gillingham and its surrounding villages – and indeed to a number of students from further afield in Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset.

Welcome! It’s remarkable to think that the end to our time at Gillingham School has finally crept up on us and we now have to explore the idea of finally being an ‘adult’ in the real world away from the family environment of Gillingham. We can honestly say that being a student for the last seven years here has allowed us to become the best version of ourselves.
